Glad you're sticking to Brooks even with your newfound neutrality! I keep thinking one of these days I should head back for a gait analysis because I haven't had one in a long time. Although I have at least three new pairs of Ravennas waiting for me so I hope they wouldn't tell me to switch!

I've never actually met anyone while on the run, although I met someone on my way to run! (Ben1, which led to some crazy adventures.) Some Australians once talked to me when I was out running at 6am once (over the summer when I saw you in the park...I'm sure you remember), and that was fun. We only chatted for a few minutes, but I guess foreigners are friendly people!

You can donate your shoes! That is what I did what all my million saucony stabils when I was told I didn't need a stability shoe. You are going to love the Brooks Launch (hopefully!). It has served me well now for over a year :) You will have to let me know what you think!

Oh the perks of working in a running store! :) I hope the new shoes work out well for you!

I'm an over-pronator and have always worn a stability shoe, but lately I've been running in the Saucony Guides (which as less supportive) and they seem to be working out pretty well. Also - just the other day I realized that I seem to over-pronate more with one foot than the other. This is completely self-diagnosed, of course, but it seems like my right arch collapses more than my left. ...which makes me wonder if I'll end up having problems in a more neutral shoe...

oh wow, that's interesting. I'm in the adrenalines with orthotics too, and am learning that it's just way too much "correction"

oh interesting - I'm learning that people that don't need stability and wear a stability shoe are at somewhat of a risk for injury because they could be over-corrected. You can't really not use stability if you're wearing a stability shoe. Hmm. But I guess if they're working for you, that's all the matters!

Very cool you were able to have an assessment like this done! New shoes are always fun - I hope they work out. I haven't had an assessment done in years - probably since 2001 or so. I should go again. Anyways, I run in Altra Eve's (very minimalist) and love them :)
