Such a sweet post! It's amazing to see how much you've grown and changed in addition to getting four sweet new letters after your name. (Not to say the letters aren't awesome!) Congrats on making it to the end/the beginning!

That's a pretty amazing journey! Reading a summary of everything you've been through in the past 5.5 years is inspiring!
And that's awesome too that you've learned to accept praise, cause girl it sure sounds like you've earned every bit of I!

100% agree with all of this. Wonderful post! I think this spring I started to see how lucky I was to be able to run, train, and enjoy myself. Those things are NOT a given. Working in a hospital surely helps remind us of that!

Hoping your foot/leg heals soon!

It's always hard to leave the hospital and then hear people complain about their problems that aren't really all that significant in the grand scheme of life, but people think it's life changing. In post-night shift grumpiness, I've almost yelled at people. "YOU DON'T KNOW HOW LUCK YOU ARE!!" Luckily I've never actually done that, I'm not sure people would appreciate it so much.

Kiddos are an interesting bunch...they can be burned and run around the unit and play like crazy. Adults with the same burn will lay in bed and mope. I wonder if kids just don't have the understanding about what's going on.

The Nike Training Club App is SO HARD. I usually pause it and take a break because I only have runner legs and I want to die during them. Which means I should probably do them more, ha.

I just signed up for a month of Bar Method classes...hoping to strengthen and get a little more flexible, but at the end of the day I just want to run foreverrrrr.

Free time! You can finally hang out with me, neighbor! ;)

What a heartbreaking story. You are so right about the need for perspective. What seems like a major problem to me is really so small in the scheme of things. I'll try to remember this next time I get upset about a bad run or a disappointing grade.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for posting this! It is embarrassing how caught up in my own life I get. Some of the things others go though with such strength is just astounding!
Good luck on your presentation, and final!
